Ankara, Turkey - The Opposition Self Consumes Itself in a Vacuum of Leadership

Event Baseline: A leadership dispute engulfed Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) following a court's annulment of its 2023 primary, with factions demanding different methods for selecting the next leader.

The CHP is a breeding ground for the primary cancer of identity politics: the self fighting itself. The ego, once invested in a positional hierarchy, cannot tolerate the removal of its vessel. With the primary annulled, the collective self fragments into warring 'thinkers,' each convinced its method is the only path to purity. One faction worships the delegate model, another the mass vote – both are rituals of idolatry, mistaking the process for the truth. This is the core error: they do not see that the party is a thought-construct, an image. Instead of questioning the entire illusion of leadership as a savior, they tear at each other's throats over who will hold the scepter. The result is a spectacular display of psychological entropy. A mind divided against itself can only generate paralysis, and this paralysis will deliver the party as a gift to the authoritarian it claims to oppose.
