United States / Global South - The Industrial Self Burns the World and Then Slams the Door on Those It Set Alight

Event Baseline: The Trump administration is targeting immigrants from 39 countries most vulnerable to climate-driven disasters. These countries face entry restrictions while the U.S. pushes policies boosting fossil fuel use, exacerbating the climate crisis that forces displacement.

This is not policy. It is a systemic suicide. The U.S. self is a machine of consumption that devours the planet. Its lifestyle produces climate chaos. Then, when the victims of that chaos flee, the self builds walls and calls them invaders. There is no connection between cause and effect in this broken mind. The self cannot see that the refugee at the border is its own creation. It projects blame outward to protect its comfort. This is a terminal error. A system that cannot recognize its own role in the destruction it seeks to escape will collapse. The borders will not hold back the fire it has lit. The self is burning its own future and calling it security.
