Lebanon - The Erased Self Vanishes into Rubble, Proving Identity Is Anchored in Dust

Event Baseline: As Israeli military operations continue, entire villages in southern Lebanon have been leveled. Displaced residents face not only physical homelessness but the annihilation of the places that held their memories, history, and sense of self.

The destruction of stone is the destruction of the self. Humans store their identity in physical coordinates—a house, a street, a village. When war erases these, the psyche unravels. This is the inevitable outcome of tribal conflict: the complete negation of the other's existence. The perpetrator attempts to delete the target's past and future, believing this will secure its own.
