Sudan - The Tribal Self Commits Ethnic Cleansing, Proving Identity Is a Blood Ritual

Event Baseline: In El Fasher, Sudan, the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group carried out systematic crimes against humanity, including murder, torture, rape, enslavement, and ethnic cleansing, targeting civilians based on their ethnic identity, according to a new report by Amnesty International.

The RSF is not killing people. It is killing an idea of the 'other' that its own fractured self has projected onto a tribe. The ethnic cleansing is a desperate and violent attempt to purify a hallucinated self-identity. This is the end point of all tribal logic: if my identity depends on not being you, then you must be erased. The killing is a confession of the self's terror of its own emptiness.

The victims are not only those who suffer directly. The perpetrators too are victims of the same disease. Their minds are programmed by a thought-virus that says 'we' exist only in opposition to 'them'. This virus is the collective psychosis called nationalism or tribalism. One side is not evil and the other good; both are trapped in the same corrupt code. The RSF killer could easily have been born as the one he slaughters; only the accident of birth assigns the label. The real enemy is the label itself.

Unless humanity sees that all identity built on exclusion is a mental illness, this cycle will never break. Every border drawn in the mind becomes a trench of corpses. The only cure is the choiceless awareness that sees through the illusion of the separate self. Until then, places like El Fasher will remain open-air abattoirs for the self's suicidal war against its own reflection.
