United States / India - The Believing Self Exports Its Phantom of Purity Across the Ocean
Event Baseline: Mohan Bhagwat, chief of the Hindu nationalist organization RSS, is scheduled to speak in New York. Human rights groups are protesting his visit, citing the group's exclusionary ideology.
The RSS is a machine of belief. It manufactures a phantom of Hindu supremacy. Bringing it to the US is not dialogue. It is an infection. The self that worships a single religious identity cannot see the other as part of the same body. It splits humanity into pure and impure. That split is violence waiting to happen. This is the mechanical failure: thought creates a 'we' and a 'they', then arms the 'we' with righteousness. The protest is not the solution. It is another mask of the same tribalism, opposing one belief with another. Both sides are trapped in the same cage. The cage is the idea that identity must be defended. That idea is a corpse. It no longer breathes. Until the human animal sees that no belief is worth killing for, it will continue to export corpses.
