[United States / Ecuadorian Fishers] - The State Self Bombs the Fisher to Feed a Phantom of Secure Seas
Event Baseline: A US patrol vessel intercepted and destroyed an Ecuadorian fishing boat in international waters. Ten fishers were left adrift. The US Secretary of State stated the US is willing to 'blow up ships if need be.'
The state self does not see humans. It sees threats. The fisher is not a body needing food and dignity. The fisher is a category: 'potential smuggler', 'possible criminal'. That category is a thought, projected by the security apparatus. The US military acts on that projection, not on reality. The result is destruction of a livelihood, not a victory over evil. This is the mechanical failure of belief. The state believes in its own absolute security. That belief justifies any violence.
Blowing up a fishing boat proves nothing except that the state is willing to kill the innocent to defend a phantom of control. The state self is the most dangerous illusion because it has the largest weapons. It cannot see that the fisher is itself. The border between 'us' and 'them' is a line drawn by thought. When thought is armed, it kills across that line. The system is corrupt. It can only produce more fishers, more boats, more resistance. The only security is the end of the self that needs enemies.
