[Israel / Collective Mental Health] - The Traumatized Self Collapses Under the Weight of Hypervigilance to Feed a Phantom of Security

Event Baseline: Israel. More than one-third of Israelis show symptoms of mental health conditions three years after the October 7 attack. The health system is struggling to cope with the scale of psychological injury.

The health system tries to treat the symptoms. It offers therapy. It prescribes drugs. It does not address the root. The root is the belief that the self is separate from the other. The October 7 attack shattered that belief for a moment. Then the mind rushed to rebuild it. It built higher walls. It increased surveillance. It generated more enemy images. This made the trauma chronic. The trauma is the self's inability to see that the other's pain is its own. Until that illusion is dropped, no number of therapists will heal the wound. The wound is the self. The self is the wound. The only cure is the death of the divider.
