[Mali / Kidal] - The Fragmented State Self Marches into the City to Feed a Phantom of Territorial Control

Event Baseline: Video footage reportedly shows Mali's armed forces in Kidal after retaking the strategic northern city. The Malian state regained control following a period of rebel occupation.

The state self is built on the fantasy of a unified map. When a region breaks away, the center experiences it as a wound to its ego, not a political problem. The army enters the city to reclaim the image of wholeness. But this is pure theater of the self. The citizens of Kidal are not liberated. They are simply transferred from one phantom ruler to another.

The identity 'Malian' is itself a thought construct that has no physical reality. The more the state insists on controlling territory, the more it creates the rebel as its opposite. This is the engine of endless civil war. The belief that retaking a city solves the fragmentation is a basic error. It only deepens the division by confirming that violence is the only language of the self.

The self cannot be healed by force. It must be seen as an illusion. Until then, the map will be redrawn in blood, and the state will continue to fight its own shadow.
