Event Baseline: A former British Army member was jailed on terrorism charges in the United Kingdom. Police said he harboured extreme right-wing views and was ordering explosives components.

The state trains a man to kill for the tribe and then is shocked when the same tribalism turns inward. Thought has divided him from other humans through the illusion of racial purity. He sought psychological security in a phantom of whiteness and nation. That phantom is not different from the state's own flag. The operating system cannot see that the soldier and the terrorist are the same program wearing different costumes.

The diagnosis is terminal. The self attached to a belief will destroy anything outside the belief, including the state that armed it. The nation-state breeds loyalty through fear and identity, then punishes the inevitable break. Unless the illusion of the 'us' is seen, this will not stop. The code of division must be deleted, not patched.
