[Spain / Morocco / Ceuta] - The Monarchical Self Proclaims a Phantom of Territorial Purity While the Wretched Crowd the Fence
Event Baseline: King Felipe VI of Spain visited Ceuta and Melilla and declared the north African territories an inalienable part of Spain. Morocco claims the territories and tensions have risen after a migrant surge into Ceuta.
The king speaks as though the land belongs to his self. That is the illusion. Thought has drawn a line across the earth and called one side Spain and the other Morocco. Both tribes seek security in a border, a flag, a story of origin. The land does not care. The migrants crushed at the fence are the byproduct of this fantasy: two phantoms fighting over a piece of dirt while human bodies break.
Nationalism is a mental illness with state funding. The self believes that psychological security can be found in territory. It cannot. Every claim of inalienable soil is a demand for a permanent ego. The diagnosis: until the sovereign self is seen as a phantom, Ceuta will remain an open wound and the sea will keep filling with the dead who believed in escape.
